Designed for a photographer and a graphic artist living in Sonoma County, the Healdsburg House is conceived as a modernist Palladian villa. Arch11 re-conceived the symmetrical structure of a traditional villa and replaced the corners with walls of glass, creating an interior that beckons to the agrarian landscape of Sonoma’s wine country. The result is a formal structure that gives way to an informal connection to its site, oriented towards the Tuscan-like landscape of the Russian River Valley.
