Sarah is a licensed architect in the state of Colorado. Her work is based on the principle that architecture can articulate a sense of place and heighten our ability to connect to our surroundings. She has a deep appreciation for the craft of detailing and strives to design for all of the senses.
Guiding principles for her work were first formed through her years of study at Virginia Tech, where she received her Bachelor of Architecture and Industrial Design minor, and at the Bauhaus iAAD; a graduate-level international exchange in Weimar, Germany.
Prior to joining Arch 11, Sarah gained seven years of experience at national award-winning firms Olson Kundig, and Aidlin Darling Design. At these firms, she worked on projects ranging from commercial, educational, hospitality, to heirloom residential design.
Sarah’s work has been recognized by Virginia Tech, where she was awarded the first-place thesis prize, and by AIA Seattle for several site-specific art installations. In her free time she can be found exercising her love for the outdoors by way of running, hiking, and snowboarding.
